Combined limitations
When restrictions across multiple categories add up.
What is considered?
Significant limitations in two or more categories may be assessed together when their combined effect is equivalent to a marked restriction. The CRA’s criteria apply.
There is more to the review
The duration, frequency and degree of restriction are important. Where the marked restriction criteria apply, the CRA generally considers inability or taking three times longer to do the activity, all or almost all of the time, with restrictions lasting or expected to last at least 12 continuous months. Specific rules vary by category.
