Life-sustaining therapy
Therapy needed to support a vital function.
What is considered?
Life-sustaining therapy has its own CRA eligibility rules. Our team can help you understand which information a practitioner needs to consider.
There is more to the review
The duration, frequency and degree of restriction are important. Where the marked restriction criteria apply, the CRA generally considers inability or taking three times longer to do the activity, all or almost all of the time, with restrictions lasting or expected to last at least 12 continuous months. Specific rules vary by category.
A qualified medical practitioner must certify the relevant information. Our initial check does not determine whether you qualify.
